You can connect up to two MPEG-encoders or max. two NIMs connect to the DVB-S/C-Modulator 2TS.
On the board is the transport stream multiplexer, the modulator, which, depending on configuration, uses DVB-S (QPSK) or DVB-C (16QAM, 32QAM or 64QAM).
Additional we've placed the central microcontroller for controlling (e.g. the download of the encoder-firmware and preparation of the dynamic teletext-pages).
Two switching power supplies provide the operating voltages of 2,5 V and 5 V.
The voltage input range is 9–24 V www.sr-systems.de

DVB-T-Modulator

The DVB-T-Modulator has one transportstream-input for connecting a multiplexor. To the multiplexor, again, up to four encoders can be connected.
The RF-Baseband output uses a carrier frequency of 3.5–70 MHz (adjustable in 125-kHz-steps) and an amplitude of 75–90 dBμV. The COFDM-Modulator generates all necessary Guard-Intervals, FECs and transmission modi (QPSK, 16QAM and 64QAM). Used will be the 2k-Mode and the 8k-mode according to ETSI EN 300 744 V 1.4.1.
All operating voltages are generated on the board, the input voltage range is 7–24 V. The power consumption is about 5 W.

ASI-I/O-Interface

The ASI-I/O-Board has two interfaces: an ASI-Input and a SPI/LVDS-Output with integrated buffer as well as a SPI/LVDS input with ASI output. Both interfaces works independent from the other und can configured with DIP-Switches. A Loopback for testing purposals is possible.
The board is provided with power (5 V) through the SPI-Connector.

DVB-MiniMod

A small, compact Modulator for DVB-S, -C and -T with integrated IQ-Transmitter and one Transportstream-Input.For a complete, digital videotransmitter with one videochannel, only a MPEG-2-Modulator has to be connected (and, if necessary, a PA).
To the Transportstream-Input can be connected a MPEG-2-Encoder or a Multiplexor for more videochannels.
For setting the parameters you only need a PC using a Terminal software (e.g. Hyper Terminal) connected to the RS232-Interface of the MiniMod. All importants parameter can be set using a menu - without rebooting the board. Optional the parameters can be set using the Frontpanel.
